Theoretically, would Tantalum hafnium carbide lonsdaleite be more beneficial than standard armor (aligned crystal steel & diamond monofilabe armor)? Because Tantalum hafnium carbide has more than twice the melting point of steel and lonsdaleite is 58% harder than diamond. Perhaps rules for Inner Sphere Tantalum hafnium carbide lonsdaleite armor could be that it's identical to standard Inner Sphere armor, but provides 28 points of armor per ton instead of 16 and costs more C-bills per ton than standard armor; Clan version provides 30 points of armor per ton instead of 16? 28 personnel in Inner Sphere infantry platoon; 30 personnel in Clan infantry group. Personally, I prefer 24 points per ton of Inner Sphere armor using this new armor, and 25 points per ton of Clan armor using this new armor. What do you each think?

3,990oC 46.5 points per ton of Tantalum hafnium carbide
1,370oC 16 points per ton of aligned crystal steel

158% 25.28 points per ton of lonsdaleite
100% 16 points per ton of diamond monofilabe
