Some of you may have been wondering about the delay in episodes for "Forging the Sword" and "Running With the Pride". I regret to say that I had a hard drive crash on me and much of my fiction information, including a story half a page from finish and the complete rewrite of the "Travels With Uncle Ahmed" novel, was lost and recovery might not be possible.

I am still piecing together what I have backed up but the thing about having such large drives is the vast amount of stuff you lose when one happens to die on you.

I am looking at other methods of storage to back up the stuff I have recovered and hopefully, I can get back on track before the year's end.

How bad of a crash?

I work as a bench tech, and if i can't recover it, i can get a good rate from drivesavers..

Just sayin is all...

I can't believe my adverse luck -I had two more pages to go for the latest installment of Running with the Pride and the bungee cord that secured my saddle bag to my bicycle gave and I lost my 4gb flash drive with all my latest notes, background info, and references one day before my weekly backup... I was literally back to where I left off before I lost the previous data.

I also lost all of my dice in a leather dicebag I've had since 1984, all my portable bike tools, a Panther Plastech mini (I was on my way to a Solaris VII game) and a CD/DVD holder with half a dozen discs... Grrr.

I need a vacation. My next one is scheduled a little over a year from now.

Ouch, MB...when it rains on you, it pours...that is really terrible.

A real pity...

You've been an amazing writer on this story. After a 10 month break from the game I was looking forward to something from my Favourite Kuritian.

My hat is off to you and I am grateful for all the hours of reading pleasure
