the kelenken has been designed to be used together with my velociraptor design. both designs are able to walk at 10, being a maximum difficult target without haveing too much difficulty to aim by itself. the most remarkable feature is the carbon-ceramic beak that forms half of the massive skull(rulewise: a hatchet in the right arm) its intended purpose is to destroy stuff behind enemy lines. it has a hook at its end that can dig in an object so it could be ripped open, usefull against vehicles or buildings, but also against the rear armor of a mech. then it has two srm4 with 50 shots of ammo, possibly in two diffeerent sorts like 25 standard plus 25 infernos to do a lot of damage close up. to reduce its ammo dependance it also has 2 ERML.
the way the kelenken is intended to be used is in a mixed company of one lance of kelenken, wich does lots of damage to bait enemy scout hunters.to achieve that better its speed is usually limited to 5/8 in this phase of the operation. then there are two lances of velociraptors that wait just out of sight,till some enemy shows up. this is the moment when the speed limit is eliminated and the velociraptors attack with their ERLLs, the 8 velociraptors have 16 of these.
the name kelenken comes from a prehistoric terror-bird wich stood ten feet tall, weighed 500 pounds and could run at 50 kph, it was a predator in what is now south america. terror birds were the " top-killers" at their time, kelenken was the biggest of them.

the original design, marked as kelenken or kelenken a has 5.5 tons of armor
with 2 SRM6 and one ton of ammo, it is never used alone as it would be relying
on its beak as only defense once its ammo has run out.
the kelenken c has no beak but combines the weapons loadout of the kelenken b
with 5.5 tons of armor, it is favoured by pilots that cannot befriend with the
unconventional melee weapon,
the kelenken II series uses a XXL engine that frees 3 tons for armor weapons
and amunition.
the kelenken IIa has 5.5 tons of armor, the weapons of the kelenken b with 3
instead of 2 medium lasers. there are versions with 2 SRM6 and two medium
lasers or electronic equipment. the kelenken II however has jet to be accepted
by customers as its price tag seems to be prohibitive.
