i set this set of vees on my planet sparta, quite some time after the SLDF base has been moved away.
the setting is this:

for many decades the spartans have built thousands of vehicles, slowly increasing in weight and efficiency.
the defense is now strong enough, and sparta is now able to build XL-fusion engines.
the government now decides that, to increase the strategic safety, an expeditionary force is needed.
the chosen dropships have the capacity to transport 36 vehicles with a combined weight of 1620 tons as well as 12 platoons of infantry each.
the doctrine for the expeditionary force calls for
a company of light hover-scouts to screen the forces and do harrassment-attacks,
a company of tracked tanks to fight the enemy at a distance and finally
a company of infantry transports that is able to carry a platoon each, and should have a good punch at short distance to support the infantry.

i gave the tank and the IFV trailer hitches, because i always give my vees trailer hitches,
but also because i believe an expeditionary force has to be logistically flexible.
with the trailer-hitches the battallion can pull 24 trailers with whatever the battalion requires,
from aditional ammo over a MASH to the mobile HQ, even artillery.
