Okay, you guys knew it had to happen. I apologize for these /fastest/ /highest/ contests, but 1) They're easy for me to do and judge, and I'm trying to get them going quickly, and 2) Everyone always wants to know the answer to the questions. So:

HIGHEST BATTLE VALUE BATTLEMECH

* Must be a BattleMech.

* Can be Inner Sphere or Clan technology base.

* Design must be made using HeavyMetal Pro.

* Can be a Level 1 or 2 design.

* No armor or damage points are specified. I figure any high-BV design will have a good deal of both. ;-)

* Custom weapons or equipment are not allowed.

* Extra points will be given for originality.

* Points will be deducted if the design is not balanced, or is not combat worthy (for example, /if/ 10 TAG systems gave higher BV than 5 Gauss Rifles, the 10 TAG system would /not/ win).

* In case of ties, extra weighting will be given to lower cost.

* Post your entry in Text TRO format, using CODE tags. Also include a Link to the Uploaded design for reference. See rules for more details.

Okay, I think that Leon's War BV W 20K takes this prize, with an incredible (for Level 2) Battle Value of 3,725. It's certainly a battle worthy design, being a 100 tonner with over 90% of maximum armor, lots of weapons (including four ERML's that cover the unit's back - which while a bit much and do increase the unit's BV, there are still two ERML's pointing front), and has lots of short and medium range damage potential, and good long range as well, what with the two ERPPC's and a Gauss Rifle. Alpha striking incuding the rear weapons could be a problem, but firing all front-mounted weapons and walking only increases heat by 2, while providing up to 60 damage.

All in all, a good design, and well worth the 3,725 BV place of distinction.
