Ever get into the mood to make mech minis but not use them in Battletech ? Many moons ago(1977) a very impressionable young boy went to see Star Wars fifty-three times. It really warped his mind, let me tell you ! Afterwards he quit drawing space shuttles, Viking landers and the Saturn 5 and started drawing galactic battleships, stellar cruisers and ground based war machines of unbelievable size and weaponry. Every rendition was bigger, more heavily armed than the last. Then that boy decided to make these at a fraction of the scale imagined. This is where Messenhauffer Armaments and the many others I dont no longer use came from.
Ever since that time, I have tried to set down and finish all the designs stuck in my head and get them on paper. Now is the time put the Battletech stuff away for a bit(I will finish my Fantech commitments first) and concentrate on finishing the universe of GalacTec. In the title of this post, you will notice "Project Martiki". Martiki is my version of "Janes" which I spawned back in 1982. So I will set up my pages with the generic stats of whatever unit I show and the appropriate specs for Full Thrust/Dirtside and then Aerotech/Battletech and Battleforce.
Just to let you know, the FulThrust/Aerotech book has 100+ pages in it, so the task isnt small and I am not going to guarentee it will get finished. I just feel the urge.
Also, I have been talking to a few game manufacturers about adding this to their line or at least making the minis that could come from this. Time will tell. If anything, I'll have one hell of a big artwork gallery.

So to start off the Project Martiki, here is the Punisher Heavy Walker W.I.P.

I dug out all my old material from 10 years ago. So now its a matter of seeing exactly what I have artwork for and what I dont. Found the folder I had of all the different transports ans shuttles I had sketched up including upgrades to some of the original artwork. Now there is well over 120+ ship designs plus several more ground vehicle designs I had found boxed up. Anyway, here is the cover and a few of the Dreadnoughts...enjoy

Well got the bug back to try and revive this project again. Because of some faction and race changes, the Audacious class has become the Raven class Dreadnought. I will start posting some of the basic models up as soon as I get them done to a point.

The 2nd line and huge Mako Class Super-Dreadnought.
Image

In the timeline, the Mako were supposed to be the last word in warship design. At 250,000 tons, it was large enough to pack enough to pack the weaponry to take on some of the neighboring factions fleets and had the space and docking capacity to carry a regiment of marines and their equipment. Past that, she was hideous to operate. Combat was where her worth was shown, not showing the flag or any other miniscule deed. With the new directed plasma weapons that came into play 30 years ago, the Raven class was developed to take over for the Mako. Today there are only three active Mako in the Confederation fleets and ten in mothball squadron at Ascension IV.

The 'wing' sections of the hull is almost complete. Just a few details to add there. The centersection the same. I decided to go a little more generic on the main weapon mounts by having a dome on the hull to represent the weapon systems. And if the another design uses the same wing, the the dome can represent something else.
The small pods are common cargo carrier design that several of the factions use. I am planning on there being 2 or 3 types with the one shown the most common.

Image

For the New Worlds Colonies I wanted something fairly simple without having the old tried and true silver rocket and fins. So I went with the Project Orion style ship. While the spheres arent full of fuel, I did like the design.
