I haven't done any lams lately so I did up a pair recently. I was finally able to get a paint job on the smaller of the 2 lams.

I codenamed this small lam "6-MC" since it has parts from 6 different minis companies lines. Wanna take a guess as to matching the parts to the minis lines. ????

Here is a comparision shot with the small and large custom lams next to a standard P.Hawk lam.

The larger lam is still in its grey primer/1st wash.

Maybe if they were posed like ballerinas, like so many of the drawings show... ;-)

No...they are just too...blocky.

More like a slow-speed chopper than a high-speed jet if you know what I mean.

well stylistically somewhat closer to a "modern" mech than the lam's anime roots, IMO

Yeah.

I much prefer the look of the original BattleMechs over some of the more "tanks on legs" style BMechs that have come out lately. Oh, the "tanks on legs" have their place and all, but given the choice I would rather play with the "giant suits of armor" that are the more original BattleMechs. :-)

Not that I'd describe the Warhammer or Longbow as such (I bet y'all expected me to say "Marauder") . . .
