At last. After 8 months, my game table is set up in the new house!

This remote outpost will be the scene of a classic clan vs. IS dogfight. My Smoke Jaguars will be defending their lonely little outpost from an invading I.S. task force.

The mat is geohex. Everything else is hand made out of foam. I coat the foam with a thinned mixture of yellow wood glue before painting the base coat with tan house paint. The rest of the painting is done with Testors military master spray cans.
The trees are model railroad trees from Germany.

All the 'Mechs look fantastic. That's such a cool camo scheme. That with the red numbers really look good together.

I personally like that style Vulture much better than the original. That chin turret looks great. Is that a stock miniature? I've only got a handful of DA minis.

That is a standard, un-modified DA Vulture.

More properly a MW4 Vulture...:-)

I've always considered the Vulture we first saw to be the high tech clan BattleMech that made us call it the Vulture.

I've always seen the MW4 one as the original lower tech OmniMech that the Clans called the Mad Dog. It just...LOOKS more like a Mad Dog than a Vulture.

So, I figure that most Clan owned Vultures look like the original (for us) mini, while Inner Sphere maintained Vultures tend to gravitate towards the more "dirty" MW4 style since we are maintaining them with lower and bulkier tech.

Just my way of explaining the massive differences. ;-)

Meh: Vulture-KU is the answer, but then I change the Black Hawk-KU all around, too . . .

True true. Both look cool. It would appear that from reading the fluff, that the vulture may be one of the first omnis, maybe the 2nd or 3rd.

I could be incorrect, but according to the 3060...
"Clan Blood Spirit scientists were eager to design thier own OmniMech, and got their chance when Clan Ghost Bear phased out it's OmniMech Prototype A in favor of the Mad Dog. The Blood Spirits won the Bear prototype in a Trial of Possession, develped it to it's fullest and christened it the Stooping Hawk."

So to me, it sounds as if the first Omni, was the Omnimech Prototype A, and then possibly the Mad Dog. Then the Omnimech Prototype A was renamed the Stooping Hawk, after extensive modifications.
