For your visual pleasure, the first of the mapscale dropships. In talking with IWM, these should be on the website in a few weeks.

Now, if we only had map-scale 'Mech miniatures.

Ah well, tried that route. The answer was that they didnt want to do those on the grounds it would compete too much with the large scale minis. They even had some inbetween scale minis done several years ago, quite nice looking too. I might have to dig out some of the 2mm/mapscale minis and pose them with the Union, might be interesting.

Some simplistic but effective painting here. A little bit of Krylon primer and a little tech pen coloring. Just needs some decaling now.

Did you make this on one of those machines that prints-out 3d cad models? It looks great.

Have you got a date that they go on sale yet?

Projected cost, and will they be website-only sales?

Yes, it was done on a rapid prototyper. Seems to do great for th larger pieces like these. For mech sized parts, not so great with how we were making the molds.

I was told that should be on sale anytime.

IWM let me know that these will be $29.95, website only. Also if you go to Origins, they will have some there. First come, first served
