Sir, preliminary SitRep coming in for the Beta advancement corridor. The drive is being held up at some obscure crossroad on the map, FM529 at Hwy 6 " the Intelligence Captain mentioned to his Superior before handing over the report.
The General looked directly at his S-2 officer. " What 's going on ?. That corridor should have been swept clean, what's the disposition of enemy forces at that crossroad ?"
The S-2 officer scanned the SitRep and blinked twice and re-read the paper he was holding before answering the General. " Um...Er...Sir, it appears that the holdup is one mech and it's hovercraft escort, Sir ! "
"Captain, I suggest you re-read that report and explain to me how one enemy mech and a hovercraft can be holding up two of my Combined Arms Companies for the last 2 hours" the General growled at his S-2 officer.
"Sir, The SitRep doesn't have any further explanations . I'm ordering a photo drone to make a flyover of that crossroad immediately. I'll have an answer to your question in under 3 minutes " replied the S-2 Captain as he started moving directly towards the drone control operator.
