Okay, a large hit as I finally post some pics of minis that've been done for a while.

Okay, we all know the Penetrator - game-wise a solid performer, but struck with the "all hips no knees" disease so common in 3055. Looking at the mini, one is left with the impression "How the heck does this thing walk?"

Now TRO3055(U) does a good redraw. The arms & torso are fine and are left alone, but a few subtle changes at the hips give the impression it might actually be able to move. Maybe they'll cast new legs ... I'll save my money.

In the meantime, I had a Penetrator that had been assembled & primed ... and it made me sufficiently unhappy I never got around to painting it. Until I decided to see what I could do with it ... below the result.

A Penetrator of the Battle Corps merc unit, piloted by Nika "Highball" Pataman, making a speed run during the Battle of Aur Low, August 3067.

Pretty minimal work. I cut off the top & bottom leg pieces from the hip. I then tried to do a simple reverse, but the "can" on the back of the hip got in the way. I ended up having to flip the hip piece, which necessitated pinning the joint. The foot had to be cut from the small base supplied with the Penetrator, so I built up the base to fit a standard hex with clay. A pretty simple mod, but I can now look at my Penetrator with pride. Now, what the heck to do with the Falconer ...

Comments appreciated!

I think Highball will enjoy that one.
