And, with that simple phrase every parents heart literally rises into their throat and for that small moment panic ensues before we can turn to see what our child has in store for us.

As we turn our panic subsides into laughter and amazement or a .............. "Don't Move, I'll Take That" statement followed by a quick scolding..

I recently traded for a very large box of MW parts and pieces. This is another creation from that trade.

I found a Raven torso minus weapons pods, no pelvis but I think those are the legs I used for arms. At the same time I picked up an ArrowIV pod minus its trailer.

The absurdity of both pieces together started me laughing. The title and memories of years gone past immediately came to mind.

So here's a quickie, from picking up the pieces to posting 90mins later.

So, lets take a trip down memory lane and just what was it that you took out of your child's hands ?? Or, for the younger members what was it that your parents took away from you.

Enjoy

it could actually be used sensefully(well, sort off...) a single infantrist with a light tag(infrared, you would not want it to be detected...) designates the targets and the raven fires in one round and changes position in the other.

sometimes it makes sense to take out a few enemy units, like the comandunits of C3 lances/companys. it has enough firepower and armour to defend against single enemy scoutmechs.

if you want it to be more than a normal artillery-unit the armour or lasers could be reduced, and the ammo could be increased by one or two tons.

Yeah, it's basically a smaller version of the TRO3050 Catapult.

i imagine a comander seeing a company of these moving well out of range of all ordinary weapons saying: " they are scouting with a full company of 35-ton mechs-LOL" (that is if his sensors are not able to see more than the mass of course) and then KA-WOOM twelve times.

i could also imagine a lot of different special ammos, like ammo that aims at the signature of a fusion-reactor. or at radio emmission.

but the most crazy idea is this: a company in country X sells stikers that could be used to mark the kills a mech has scored, they come with all sorts of mechs in all other fractions designs. what nobody knows is that the stickers contain a sort of RFID-tag that reacts to a special signal and then reveals the tonnage of the killed mech. and then there is of course a sort of ARROW IV ammo used by fraction Y that sends that signal and always kills the mech that has scored the most. sad if a newb sticks unearned kill-markers on his mech...

I let the characters in my RPG game use NARC beacon internals and wire them into the commo circuits of enemy mechs (if/when they can sneak in) imagine how much more effective the unit is if it's patched into the antenna on the enemy mech... you can home in on that with MAJOR plusses.

:D especially with arrow....
