The room was quiet and cool in the darkness. The partially hidden form in the bed suggested a young man in the midst of a horrible dream. Twisting and turning the young mans' body seemed to take on a life of its own.
A sensor cable suddenly jerked free from the young mans arm, this action in turn pulled the vital sensors monitor from the shelf and it fell to the floor .
An alarm shreiked for attention as the Doctor and Emergency Nurse entered the room . The Doctor immediately went to the paitient to check for vital signs, as the EN quickly stilled the alarm and checked the monitor.
As the EN mechanically went through the motions of resetting the monitor, prepping new sensor leads, grabbing alcohol swabs turned to the Doctor and quietly asked " Is he OK ?, any major damage?, any wounds break open?, what do you want me to do?"
The Doctor looked up from his inspection and in a quiet voice answered back " This is Sargent Warbella, he's currently reliving a horriffic experience in his mind. All we can do is wait until he regains conciousness to determine if he can continue. Unbelievablly , reports have it his Recon Lance was ambushed by single mech. He is the only survivor of that encounter. "
The EN looked down at the damaged form under the sheets then looked up at the Doctor " Can one mech really do that ? what do you think he's seeing right at this moment ?" was her reply.
Motioning the EN to follow him, the Doctor moved towards the door then quietly replied " Whatever that monster was that destroyed his command, that's his nightmare that he can't escape from, his mind knows what he saw last and is reliving the experience now. There is nothing else we can do for the moment"
