The massive mech doors slowly began to open with a blast of icy air venting into the mech bay as the pressure equalized to the outside atmosphere.
A mech carefully walked across the bay and approached the slowly widening exit.
"Well, Sargent ever do a combat drop in a mech before ? " voiced the commander who was controlling the movements of the mech towards the door.

As the mech stood in the oversized doorway it reached out with both hands bracing itself to the walls of the Dropship with its forward swept fuselage extending outside.
The Commanders' eyes raised up from his cockpit screens to take in the outside view. He smiled as he answered back " Don't worry Sargent, the mech techs bolted on the proper Jump pods for this class mech. Besides its not the fall that'll kill us it'll be the sudden stop if the Jump pods don't trigger"
Before the Sargent could reply, the commander calmly walked the mech into the open air..
