Unsubstaniated rumors have this Mercenary credited with taking out a pair of ARES class mechs during an extended ambush scenario.

I think this fits the "we need more BFG's" punchline.

I kitbashed the gun first. Didn't think anything about the size. Then as I was working on the mech I realized this would definitely be something to take on an ARES class mech rather than standard class mechs.

It would be funny if it actually fired Elementals.

id call the gun a "headchopper extreme precision ultra range heavy gausrifle"

the warrior riding it is the problem-(dis)solver
the mech certainly is a prototype converted to test the abovementioned weapon. it is unclear how te problem-solver got hold of it, some believe he was a test-pilot for the prototype-tests and got a bargain-price when the tests were finished.
in order to keep the mech in balance the targeting-computer, as well as other systems, had to be located in the left arm.
the weapon is a one-of a kind as the factory intened to produce it was blown up with all plans before a single weapon was produced.

brown bess...

a bit more fluff for the weapon:

a gaus rifle fires a ball-shaped metal-bullet. its barrel is not rifelled. therefore i would say that a gaus-rifle is not a rifle at all.

now some wizkid came up with the idea of using a more torpedo-shaped bullet(wanted to avoid "bullet-shaped")and makeing it rotate like the bullets that come out of a rifle. the rotation is not created by a rifeled barrel however, but by specially aligned "rotation coils".
the so created weapon fires gaus-bullets much more precise than the classic "gaus-rifle" fires its gaus balls, much comparable to the difference between the non-rifelled muskets and the later introduced rifles. this raises effective range and precision.

Here's a photo without the "BFG"

Set up as an all-energy raider.

Most colorful name so far........... Scarlett Scourge

Image

Definitely has to be a 105mm smoothbore firing a hyper-velocity caseless fin stabilized sabot disgarding armor piercing depleted uranium-tungsten dart. "Kinetic energy kill shot"
