I've been selling so many BT mini's off on ebay that I now have room on my shelves for some new blood. These were primer coated 4 years ago, and then boxed up. I didn't touch them again until a couple of months ago. I had unboxed them to strip and prepare for sale, but decided I needed to paint something new rather than just sell off BT stuff.

Anyhow...my latest unit. A generic Steiner company, circa 3039.

Thanks Rick. I love desert schemes on my old school mechs and use them a good bit. The 3025 era was all about fighting over water or lostech on some barren dustball, so desert camo just feels 'right' to me. :D

Yeah, but the plain tans get a bit old (which is why my son usually gives an old, partially paint removed, metal-touched finish). But the subtle gray blended in really adds to it, IMHO. :claphands:

Nicely done, Schriv.

Desert camo schemes can vary widely, even on Earth today. We've all seen the US military's standard beige and brown desert cammies, but have you ever seen China's? They're ORANGE! Why? Because their home terrain in the Gobi is different from the stereotypical sandy desert. I imagine that the differences could get even weirder in a universe as big as CBT...

I have enough desert hex-mats and foam desert/canyon terrain to cover two 4x8 tables. I play a LOT of desert based games. :D

These are just a few of the desert/martian schemes I've done over the years.

Which paint scheme? I tend to assembly line paint and can do a company in a week from start to finish if I want to.
I used to do battalion/Cluster sized units, but I'm no longer involved or interested in the game enough to justify that level of effort.
I've been selling off all the duplicates in my larger units as well as most of my post 3058 mechs. From here on out, I intend to just concentrate on my favorite era's of 2750 and 3025/3039 with some 3050 and clan units kept around for variety.
