:embarrased: Thanks Dave. This one was given special treatment, to see if I could do the panelling. It was not good to my back, eyes or sanity but I do like how it turned out!

I think I would have spent more time redoing it then actually getting it done. That or putting the miniature back together a couple of times.

Well after several frustrating hours of trying to get some of Reseen mechs together and then having to solder two of them together, the urge to crush the problem did arise from time to time...so evil might be an understatement...though I have yet to throw one across the room like I have seen done by some other folks we both know.

I hate it when work interupts my posting!
HammerTech for those of you unfamiliar is when you use MW:DA figures with BattleTech tabletop rules. Oh & one house rule. When your Mech dies the opponent gets to use a BFH to smash the mini! We were using almost all Uniques (the collectable ones) & smashing the crap out of them! The Mini hall was ringing with shouts of "FIRE IN THE HOLE". It got to a point that when the warning was shouted the majority of players in the hall ducked till they heard the "THUD" of a $35 collectable exploding! It was god aweful fun!

UCon was at U Of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.

Michcon was somewhere in or around Detroit....

Generally I primer in black first and just drybrush 2-3 layers of white (or whatever other color) over it so i DON'T have to run a brush to fill in panels...

A good black ink afterwords finishes the model off nicely.

I used black primer on this and many other minis. Sometimes the primer is to strong for the more "watery" paints though. I went back to white primer. Now I use the Games Workshop wash in apropriate color first. GW wash really seeks out the joining lines & stick there. I just used 3 washes on the jumping Hatchetman (Red, Blue, Black), It looked like pale paint when it dried. Gave a good view of how/where to highlight. I'll post pictures when I get them from the camera.
