I plan on painting up 2 Pergrine VTOLs in Kurita Police (I forget the extact name of unit) ''Peaceful Potectors'' ?. Yellow & Black strips scheme.

Would they also carry the Kurita Dragon nat insig ?.

I was 1 of the 2 people who paid to get the Pergrine made so I'm damm well sure I'm going to paint some up.

I've already nearly finished 2 in Wolf Dragoon's scheme just finishing the bases, so these Police 1's are planned to be done next, so any Help will be great. :toast:

As Police are a member of the government (local level) I would say Yes. Look at our Police cars, many carry a US flag here.

Thanks I'll look them up on the WWW , as British Police cars - which I'm use to seeing (I'm a Brit) do not carry the union Jack - except for Miliary Police (very small Union Jack front & rear) when off base.

Cheers. :toast:

I also have a bit of a Kurita Scheme question so I figured I'd just add it here v/s a new thread.

I have a lance painted up in 1st Genyosha colors, its a basic slate gray.

Currently it consists of ShadowHawk, PhoenixHawk, Vulcan, Jenner.

However, when I get the boxed set I'll be adding in at the least, a Dragon, Panther, & 2nd Jenner, and so I was thinking of re-painting to a different scheme.

The gray of Genyosha is kind of generic and I was looking for something very distictive.

I found the Sword of Light regiments use a Red Base and thought that might really stand out but I'm wondering what others think.

They don't appear to have any accents, paneling etc etc so I'm wondering what I can do to avoid just having a big lump of red metal.

Any tips or ideas you think would work to break up the color ?
I was thinking of some Black or Gold highlights but wanted to try and stick to canon.

Ink them, or paint them black and drybrush the red on until they have black panel lines. Or quickshade them

u want the color to be broken up?

is it possible they have different marks depending wich subunit they belong to?

numbers that correspond to their number in the unit?
the mechs in a company could be carrying numbers 1-12 in a company specific color
callsigns would be "green 1" to "green 12" " red one" to " red 12" etc( maybe red is not a good idea if red is base color... but u get the point)

medals? rank insignia? destruction markings?

do they fight in plain red, or do they use sort of "shades of red" camouflage to break up their shape?
