Something I have been wanting to do for a while. True 6mm scale mechs. Using the GHQ 6mm vehicles as a go-by. Hopefully you enjoy the results as much as I do.

OK: I'm confused . . .

Teh Greens are 'Mechs, and the one led next to the quarter is BA?

How tall is the tank?

I think the small one is the 6mm mech he is talking about. How/Where did you get the clear mech? What do you use?

Okay, I'm officially confused. 6mm is mostly defined as 1/300 to 1/285, right? And that is how normal CBT minis are described, right? Which appears, more or less, to be the size of the green 'Mechs. But the smaller 'Mechs (beside the quarter) appear to be, what I would call, map-scale 'Mechs, more or less 1/900 scale. Now, I've wanted those for years (for more accurate appearances, for use with BattleForce, mounting 4-6 on a hex, as well as for TravelTech). But I don't see how they'd relate to 6mm.

The green/blue mech is about what I feel a light or smaller medium mech would be in a proper 6mm scale.
The one next to the quarter is the same mech but in 3mm or BattleForce scale.

Both mechs were rapid prototyped. And I am planning to do several more in the near future.

Yes

Its the way they used to be. In the past 10-15 years the Btech scale has creeped up bigger than I care for. Especially when you could some of them for good sized 10mm
pieces.

6mm should be smaller than the current crop of Btech minis on the market now. The original unseens were close to being right. I agree though, the smaller
versions are perfect for Battleforce. And I am planning on doing some not-mechs for demonstration purposes. Will post those as I go.

You could also gold plate them and wear them on a charm bracelet.

There's a lot of GHQ minis I like for use as Btech vehicles. But they are too small. However, if you can find the same one being made by Skytrex in the 1/200 scale, that is just right. Got a bunch of jeeps, trucks, assorted tanks and armored cars from Skytrex. The 1/200 infantry is about right too.
