While working on the new style Battlemaster had a bit of an idea on the old idea of Project: Dark Phoenix. The whole idea originally was to remake the original 'Mechs using the new restyled/reseen designs as a base. Between myself and several others, I think this was accomplished even though the whole project didnt go where I would have liked. Anywho, I had the brilliant idea to revamp these a bit more and have them prototyped just for fun. The big change was to remove any window, canopies, viewports that appeared on the mini. Going with the idea that the VR helmets were exactly that, complete VR that received their input from body mounted cameras and sensor strips. This to me removes the big flaw in Btech 'Mechs...cockpit glass. Ferro or not, it always screamed "SHOOT ME !!!" So the first redo is the LCTX Wyrm Light Combat Walker and the STGX Hildr Light Combat Walker am currently finishing up the WSPX Brynhildr |

Heh. I used to have a shtick about how the head was where the armor was thin enough to run the sensors through, regardless of the transparent/opaque thing. You'll forgive me if I wish for a way to give the "Wasp" a rifle, cheaply? |

I can mess around with a rifle. I do know that there enough open slots to include a hand also.

I think the fun part will be trying to scenics when these are done. I have DAZ 3D now as well as Bryce, so now its time to see what can be imported in to do complete pics instead of just the machines themselves or simple background cut-n-pastes. |

Nice job! It has the look of the AT-AT, the feel of the Goliath and at the same time a Gear feel as well. Very impressive! |
