As a hobby, I build Dropships, Union - Leopard style. This is a kit-bash to create an Aerodyne style Dropship.

I've already sold this one off, but it would be nice to have an AT2 stat sheet to send with each Dropship I build.

This one finished out looking more like an leading Assault Aerodyne rather than a support Dropship.

from how close it looks to the Leopard DS id say make it a Broadsword DS (find stats in Bloodright)

==Overview:==
Needing a way to carry their various products to trade shows around the Inner
Sphere, Heavy Lift Concepts designed the Veags #9 to ensure that they made it
in and out with a minimum of fuss. Able to carry both a lance of standard
battlemechs and a lance of their trademark LAMs simaltaneously, their hight
altitude launches are quite an impressive show for perspective buyers. Using a
unique system for launching the battlemechs from underneath the ship via a
system of large tubes roughly 30 meters across, the Vegas Special doesn't have
to slow down in order to drop it's cargo of mechs.

When not carrying VIPs the Vegas Special can house all 8 pilots in personal
state rooms, equal to 2nd class accomodations on any passengar linner in the
Inner Sphere.

==Capabilities:==
Mounting a Killer Whale launcher on the ship was controvertial at first, until
a pirate band attempted to seize the Vegas Special while they were on their
way to yet another trade show. Just un-masking the system, which is designed
to look like an over-sized set of SRM-6s, was enough to cause the pirates to
attempt a quick turn around. They lost their only dropship, a battered Union
that looked as if it had seen MUCH better days, while attempting to flee.
After tracking the flight path back to a nearby asteroid field, a quick sortie
by a pair each of heavy and assault LAMs quickly ended the buccaneering days
of the would be attackers.

==Variants:==
A variant was considered that would drop the Killer Whale launcher in
eaxchange for another lance of mechs and additional passanger and or cargo
space.

John, you know me as 'The Original SilverSword' from the HPG and LotB. SilverSword is my correct handle, but EZBoard had a SilverSword before I registered (so Im not the original, bah) and LotB carried over my handle when they switched to PHPBB.
