You know, there are no lams in the Dark Ages.

Unless you consider the new "Jade Turkey" mech capable of extended jump. The one with the fins. Sorry , don't know the name of it ?????

No wonder I had a hard time getting into these dorky toys...........

Well, I'll fix that..................

This is still a work in progress.......still have a ways to go, lots to do still.

It will be a dual cockpit trainer model. Don't want the very first one to crash. !!!!!

Sure, I know the Mechwarrior - Dark Age can't /won't produce a Lam. They have their hands full trying to keep its own storyline straight let alone get a lam into it.

That doesn't stop me from creating one.

I really hate to even tell you the name of the faction on the dial.

From the start I set this up as a dual cockpit trainer. Certainly don't want the first one to crash and burn do you !!!!

Hope you like it.

Looks great! (though it seems wasted on a MW:DA dial, I'd rather see it on a hex-base lol)

Forgive my ignorance, where's the plane/body from?

I'll take it off of that "Clicky base" now that the photos have been taken.

The plane originally was an F-14 Tomcat lead mini. Don' t know the scale but fit very well with the size of the DA stuff.

Lots of "slicing and dicing" - putty to get it looking like this.

HHMM. lets see..................

I sliced off the nose section forward of the wing root. I then added the new nose with the dual cockpit. I also broke 2 saw blades cutting that dual cockpit off. It was a stamped diecast, so it was a harder metal to cut.

Lots of putty to shape the lower part of the nose back into the frame.

I cut both wings off the plane, switched sides and reversed the wing angle to a forward swept design.

I cut off the rear half of the frame, inverted it and rejoined it to the front half. The small aerlions(sp?) on the side of the rear frame became the top tail surfaces.

I cut out the small forward canards from plasticard stock.

There is a lot of putty from the rear of each wing fairing the body shape backwards into the frame.

The arms are stock from a DA Arebalest. I sliced off the left arm laser. The lower legs are stock from a DA Forestry Mech still attached to the "Clicky base"

Glad you like it !!.............
