The procurement arm of the DCMS recieved a unusual order from DEST Command to secure a generic Heavy Lift Helicopter. There were no specifics mentioned.
Once the helo was delivered to an Otomo weapons and re-fit center the engineers working for the DEST Command quickly spirited it away.
The helo was stripped to the frame and then re-engineered as a "stealth lo-light Infiltration unit". The immense lifting capabilites were at the heart of this covert rebuild. The engine was uprated, then sensor and noise baffled.
DEST helmet visors were adapted for the 2 pilots to provide the all - weather, all -spectrum visibility needed on covert missions. A veritable alphabet soup state of the art gear was installed in the main cabin pod: ECM - EECM - FLIR - TFR - HDV - ASF - DCIT.
An in-flight refueling probe was added to increase the effective combat radius of the rotary craft.
A removable pod was built and covered with a radar absorbing paint to house a full DEST strike force equipped with KAGE suits.
A pair of Streak SRM6s' with a NARC pod unit was also installed in the foward bay of the pod. This was to be used only if the DEST strike force was unmasked and requested a pick-up from a hot LZ.
