==Overview:==
Even with the FedCom Civil War raging with unbridled ferocity, certain members
of Victor's faction in the Lyran Alliance still had their attentions focused
on the Clans, as Clan Wolf would most likely attack in 3067. With this in
mind, and the fact that they needed new units to field against Katherine's
armies, Archangel Technologies completed trials for and fielded a new heavy
mech, which they dubbed the Wolf Hunter, to serve as a counterpart to the
Wolfhound (and to hunt the mechs of Clan Wolf).

==Capabilities:==
The Wolf Hunter was designed as a mech that could battle with the best the
Clans or Inner Sphere could offer, and it doesn't disappoint in that regard.
The centerpiece is the new and deadly heavy gauss rifle, mounted in the torso.
 As one of the lightest mechs to mount such a devastating weapon, it packs an
amazing punch on the battlefield, and carries enough ammo to be useful in a
fight. In addition, it also wields an extended-range large laser and a pair
of extended-range medium lasers, as well as the heat sinks to fire them all
with minimal overheat. Eleven and a half tons of armor provide superb
protection, while the XL engine it uses gives it ample speed to engage or
disengage from mechs of its own weight class.

==Deployment==
Currently the Wolf Hunter has been deployed in Lyran Alliance units, mostly in
the forces that are currently on border worlds with the Jade Falcon and Wolf
clans. In addition, the mech has been made available to the Kell Hounds,
Wolf's Dragoons, and Clan Wolf-in-Exile for purchase and trade.

The 3075 version, the -5S, is mostly the same. The only difference is that it upgrades the armor to a light ferro-fibrous compound instead of standard armor.

(Frankly, I couldn't think of a better upgrade to do...)

Maybe a L-PPC for the ERLL, and add a Snubby in place of the extra DHS and ERML? You get a new and different weapons mix, but you also need to find a supplier for the Drac weapons:)

Hmm. Interesting. I kinda like this:

==Variants:==
    A recent development with some new technologies, the new -5S variant is
not terribly changed from the older version. Light ferro-fibrous armor
replaces the standard alloy the -4R uses. Additionally, one heat sink was
removed and the ER Large Laser replaced with a Snub-nosed PPC.

Currently the Wolf Hunter has been deployed in Lyran Alliance units, mostly in

If it was me I would still drop the ERMLs and extra DHS for a L-PPC to extrend you range a bit, but it does seem to work as is.
