 Post subject: Project Phoenix SUPERS!

From Tales of the Black Widow, there's compaign info about Project Phoenix and two brand new mechs:
a 25 ton Super Wasp and a 60 ton Super Griffin

Has anyone already worked those up?

As written those mechs are NOT Project Phoenix mechs, they are test beds for new technology like Double Heat Sinks and such. They are experimental designs that at the time of the Scenario/Unit Book TALES OF THE BLACK WIDOWS, did not fit the known the construction rules.

I have tried to build them with HMPro as well as other programs and while possible with some changes it is like trying to build the original MACKIE found in the same book I believe, need to double check that, it can be done BUT not with in the normal rule set, it would be a primitive mech and thus have all the limits the new rules for that classification have.

If you want to remake them, kick a normal WASP up to the listed tonnage, add in the double heat sinks and ignore the extra free tonnage same for the GRIFFIN...just a thought.

I did these ages ago, as Karagin pointed out these original designs were made way before the current rule sets, The Super Griffin mounts 10 single heat sinks & 3 prototype double Heat sinks (best source of information for these is the War of 3039 source book) I've left the Super Griffin mounting 13 SHS's. Please read the notes section of the HMPro files for other information.
