I will post the file for this mech a bit later, right now I am trying to see what needs to be improved or changed, the idea for the mech is fast heavy raider that has some punch and can fight as well as run if needed.

So any suggestions or ideas are welcome as would be anything lending towards the fluff. The company making it is not a standard BT universe company but it does have a good showing in my groups gaming adventures, so for this mechs it would be a common company. Again I am trying to get the mech stats down before jumping into the fluff:

Still not sure, I feel this one goes for all the bells and whistles so to speak but it does offer more over all damage vs the original configuration. Still looking forward to seeing what is suggested.

I put your original design onto HMP late last night and had a look at it first thing this morning and don't really know what you are aiming for. Is the design built around the Thunderbolt 5 for a specific purpose?
Won't be around again until much later tonight.

T-blot 5 is the main punch yes, but it's more of the hit and run like hell idea as well.

So with the XXL engine you upgraded the T-blot and gained MASC...interesting. That is something I didn't even look at considering. Might be going back for another revision...

Well here is my attempt at it. I had thought of using a heavier T/bolt but thougt that two might be more fun. Tried to double the ammo but that left two little armour as would trying to increase the speed.

Designed as a fast hit and run raider is intended as a scrapper but rather to

possible then getting away before the enemy mechs can seriously threaten it.
It requires a close escort of other conventionally armed fast mech for it's
own protection.

Now that is a lot of hit and run going for it. I do indeed like it. Wow lots to work with here...

Okay so how is this for a start, the first mechs is the prototype or concept and we build from working the fluff to have it go along the lines of each idea given here is one step closer as well as a variant on the main mech it self?

So with the XXL engine you upgraded the T-blot and gained MASC...interesting. That is something I didn't even look at considering. Might be going back for another revision...
..Not forgetting the SuperCharger as well for the extra increse in speed !.

Hope it's of some use.

Dave.

The XXL version is just CRAZY. I like it, but the cost means you can start looking at a heavier, if slower mech to fill the role. If that fails, a lance of Hussars:).

Back to the original. Would you consider a few minor tweaks? If you drop the AP, ammo, and one of the CASE systems you gain enough tonnage for a SPL, and Flamer pair. They add to the heat, and lose range to the AP, but gain other advantages, starting with the ability to start fires and easier on the logistics tail behind enemy lines. If you were so inclined you could go with one of the anti-infantry weapons and adding a ton of T-Bolt ammo instead.

That is an interesting idea and I can see it as a next step progression. I can add it in to things and make it part of the models being made.
