Based on the
Primitive Dervish, the 5H would be designated as a general trooper mech rather than the fire support of the original design.
With a pair of extended range medium grade lasers mounted in each arm, and a pair of 7-tube multi-missile launchers in the torso, the new Dervish is capable of delivering significant levels of destruction at range. The mobility of the original Dervish has been maintained, and is standard for mechs of this weight class, however the use of a Light Fusion Engine allows the DV-5H to mount more weapons and armour without sacrificing the survivability of the mech. Defensively, a full 10 tons of armour cover the endo steel frame, and is supported by the inclusion of an anti-missile system.
