Code: BattleMech Technical Readout Type/Model: Grenadier Tech: Clan / 3090 Config: Biped BattleMech Rules: Level 2, Standard design Mass: 75 tons Chassis: BLKWL-75 Standard Power Plant: 300 Vlar Fusion Walking Speed: 43.2 km/h Maximum Speed: 64.8 km/h Jump Jets: 4 Lexington Lifters Standard Jump Jets Jump Capacity: 120 meters Armor Type: Valiant Lamellor Standard Armament: 3 Series 6b ER Large Lasers 2 Series 14a Medium Pulse Lasers Manufacturer: Wolf Clan Site 4 Location: Arc-Royal Communications System: Dalban Micronics Targeting & Tracking System: Dalban HiRez ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Quick frame of reference. These are a series of mechs, built to very basic Clan standards, all using the same engine, T&T, Comm, Armor, JJ, Clan DHS,and weapons limited to Clan ERML,ERLL, MPL, SPL, and LRM 5. The idea is for a series of cheap, usable militia/garrison units that could be mass produced. I picked the Wolves/Arc Royal randomly, but I could see any/all of the invading Clans doing something similar in the Post Jihad era. Peltast-50t Fusilier-60t Grenadier-75t Voltigeur-100t There is also a series of armor following similar parameters. These would find a home in many of the merc units pretty easily I think. Also I would expect to run into these more as the need for mechs keeps rising again. |

I agree Karagin, Anybody who can support a bit of Clantech would love these. The mix of basically IS materials with limted Clantech(weapons and heatsinks) makes more sense to me then an entire system of production lines to meet the requirements for all the IS equipment out there in the post Jihad era. I know the Clantech level weapons are supposedly very, very difficult to build, but I can't believe a line for Clan ERLLs is more resource/C-Bill intensive then supporting lines for: standard, ER, Pulse, Bombast, Binary, and Re-Engineered versions of the same weapon. |
