I can why you say it looks like those two mechs, never noticed it at first.

I have several ideas for this one, and I think it would be more flexible if I went the omnimech route with this it. Like tossing the pulse lasers and going with either PPCs or one of the insulated lasers, still out on that one. Then maybe something different for the LRM concept, so that gives me a couple of areas to monkey with.

I agree with you on the weapon trade outs. This looks like a great platform for a full Omni, or an easily refitted base model. Keep the mix of energy/missile/ballistic weapons, but mix up the actual components. For example, and without looking at weight/space trade the lasers for ERPPCs, RAC for a Light Gauss, and missiles for a standard LRM with Artemis, and you have a fairly close mech with totally different capabilities.

Okay I will take those suggestions and give it some effort to see what works, should have something up in the next couple of days.

A pair of random loadout:
2 ERPPCs, LGR with 32 shots, MRM 40 with 12 shots. Only real change is one ton of MRM ammo has to move to a different location. Basically keeping the same fighting style of the original, plinking at extreme range followed by increasing punch as you close.

3 standard Large Lasers, RAC 2 with 90 shots, Apollo MRM 40 with 18 shots, and 1 extra DHS. Only real change is the missile ammo goes to the far torso. This would be a crazy brawler.

Lots of variations of this basic theme to work with.
