==Overview:==
The Memnon came to been seen as the best of the worst, in that it was a stop
game mech built to fill the demand of war machines to stop the Blakist and
their Jihad.

The Order of the Knights of St Andrews approached several different weapons
makers and presented their ideas of and for a close in heavy to assault class
fighting mech that had the punch and ranged weapons to not be a liability while
moving to melee ranges.

Many companies laughed or thanked them and passed on the idea, or pointed out
existing mechs and turned them away. Enter Challenge Systems, they were a
small firm who had been building tanks and argo-mechs for centuries, when the
Knights arrived and explained their ideas, the CEO and the board were
impressed, so they took a chance, with the Knights putting up a hefty sum and
actually having access to new weapons and technology, though they never did say
how they came to have this, they provided the company with blue prints and
design specification covering several weapons variants as well as computer
simulations.

Challenge Systems engineers and design staff jumped on the project and with in
8 months had two working prototypes up and running, as well as third that was
used to see what other new technologyical breakthroughs could be used.

By late 3081 they had a machine that met the needs of the Knights and started
mass production with a target number of 400 machines by 3086. The first 25
Memnons left the assembly plants on Hasting and entered into the companies of
the Knights in 3082.

This is an interesting design. I'm not sure if I actually like it, but I do think it could be fun to play.
