yes

Engine: 165 Light Fusion 1 4,50
Shielding & Transmission Equipment: 0 2,50

thats from a 165 tank i made to see what the base values would be.

the engine has to weigh 20% of the vehicles weight

Engine: 165 Fusion 0 6,00
Shielding & Transmission Equipment: 0 3,00

still only 9 tons

Are you noting the light fusion which is NOT an XL engine? Unless there is an issue with the Program...and it's still with in the 20% needed for the hover craft.

i tried two: first the LF then the normal fusion, as both weigh less than ten tons the program raises that to 10 tons in a hover(=20%)

Which meets the rules requirement then thus no issue.

misunderstanding then, i thought u wondered why the engine is so heavy...
price is by weight i think, with a multiplier for LF
i would not build that hover with a LF, as normal fusion comes out exactly as heavy, just cheaper.

Discovering that, was going for an upgrade on things and was trying new ideas.

Haven't seen a lot of LFE's in vehicles, canon or otherwise. Seems like the cost-benefit factor doesn't really favor LFE's in vehicle applications.

That said, this design could be an interesting jouster. The armor is a bit heavy on something that fast; I tend to put less armor on hovers and exploit their speed. Perhaps turret some of the armament to add flexibility?

I can play with the ideas. I do see your point about the engine. I was trying to upgrade a Level 1 design and thought hey let's go with the light fusion...
