the SMTS (Squad Mobile Transport System) is a bit larger than the SMSS, it can serve the same purposes the SMSS can serve, only that it is larger and can carry more load.
the main idea is that a larger system can transport its entire squad sitting on it, so the men would get to their destination faster and less tired, near the target area they would dismount and use the SMTS as a heavier SMSS, to transport their heavy gear and wounded. the SMTS squad would be up to 10 soldiers with one sitting in a pit at the front, operating the vehicle when its not remotely/autonomously operated, the second would be sitting in the rear of the vehicle operating on-board weapons and equipment. four would sit on a bench on each side. between the seats on the benches handles are positioned that the soldiers could hold on to, when the bench is used as a stretcher the handles are turned 90° so they help to secure the stretcher on its position. vehicles that have no onboard weapons only have 8 or 9 men to their squad, depending if a driver is present. the vehicles can be used to carry freight only, that version would be known as a PMSS (Platoon Mobile Support System), at a payload of 2500 kilos each squad could load 625 kilos on the PMSS, so that a platoon would be able to work with nothing else.
highly mobile units would have a SMTS for each squad and another PMSS for each platoon wich would also be a spare SMTS.
the SMTS has a textile track around each set of wheels, this makes it a tracked vehicle that can negotiate swampy terrain or snow. it can operate as a wheeled vehicle when the tracks are lost.
each vehicle has energy-cell loading adaptors wich enable the continous use of laser-rifles, reducing the amaount of amunition that has to be carried.

a company would be 4 platoons of four squads with one SMTS each=16; one PMSS per platoon =4; and a lead squad with one SMTS with communication equipment.
additional vehicles could serve as weapon-carriers with heavy mortars, recoilles rifles, rocket launchers or medium lasers.
