From the top: Any offensive force on a budget likes 40-ton treads, as they fit in light DropShip bays, cross muddy fields, and transverse the medium bridges that are de rigeur across the Known 'Verse. Running
fusion units means doing away with about half your logistics train.
The hard part become picking your firepower: Most of the fancy, reactor-driven, beam weapons only
scare indigs, and don't actually put them down very fast (ergo the Quality of Quantity.) One is wise to mount a verity of guns, and to mass their units to achieve the firepower being sought.
Use of
reactive armor is settled law: You will face SRMs on a daily basis. The armor layout is the hard part …
