While I've been waiting for the board to get fixed, I've been mucking about with various canon designs to see what I can do to improve them without them necessarily losing their canon flavor. I've got a few where I think I succeeded pretty well. In all cases, I have kept the organizational schemes for fighters, marines and the like, and tried to stick generally close to the same arrangement and composition of weapons. This sometimes means sacrificing efficiency for flavor, but that is what it is, I suppose.

We'll start with ComStar's Dante frigate, three of which were left incomplete and which ComStar wanted to refit as of their TRO entry. I suppose if they had, they might have done something like this. A fast, well rounded ship with a powerful set of carried assets, including Level III's of fighters and armored marines. Very well suited to raiding, boarding and escort duties, though a bit lacking in endurance even after improvements...much like many other canon destroyer-sized ships in the 3060's generation. Enjoy.
