Have you used this design yet? I have been wanting to try the BA C3 System but I am not sure how to best use it, something like the Cockroach c or trying to squeeze it onto something with a bit more mobility :undecided:

BA C3 System is 250 kg not 25 kg.

Kar, see Tacical Operations page 297, for full details -
Quote:
In game play, a BC3/BC3i-equipped Battle Armor squad functions as a single unit equipped with an appropriate C3 Slave (for BC3) or C3i (for
BC3i) system, enabling them to join into an appropriate network (though existing limits for the network apply). Even though BC3 and BC3i are distributed
across the squad, the entire battle armor squad counts as 1 unit in an appropriate C3 network.
All troopers in a full BC3/BC3i Battle Armor squad must have the same type of BC3/BC3i system to receive these abilities. A squad with less than 3
troopers (either from the start of the scenario or reduced through damage) loses all benefits from its BC3/BC3i system.
Dave.

Okay, to me this sounds munchy, I can see some of our not so nice players using this to the point that it has to be something they need to win, just like the old Targ/Pulse combo or the hey the new tech means we can use double heat sinks to gain zero heat no matter what we fire or do...I could be wrong but I see folks abusing this.

I totally agree with you, this is 1 of those game rules that needs to be agreed by all players before the game starts, as we all know there are plenty of 'power' players out there who love the 'munch',

The rule is not broken it fits well in with the 'scope' of the game, But it's a rule IMHO that could be mis-used by certain players.

Dave.

For some reason, when I saw the name of this BA, the first thing that popped into my head was the beginning of the climactic scene in Scarface, when Tony Montana is in his office and he sees the other gang coming in. "Cockaroaches!"

That said, the name kinda led me to expect a quad...

I can see your point about it being a qud or a 6 legged thing, ... :-? but the reason I called it the cockroach is with the amount of armor it carries it's going to take alot to kill 1 trooper let alone the squad.

If you are playing Battletech you can always say it is 6 legged, but with no game effect. It won't work for Mechwarrior with hit locations for BA, but I still like it fluff wise.
