Like the title says, I'm looking for a custom weapons file HMPro and HMV that includes the TechManual weapons and as many Tactical Operations weapons as can feasibly be included. I'm not worried about getting the physical weapons, which I know can't be included. I'm mostly looking for things like the new Mech Mortar stats, ProtoMech ACs, Chemical Lasers, and things of that nature.

Any help would be appreciated.

While I have not entered everything possible from TacOps I am slowly getting there adding stuff as I want to try it. I think if you download the files for these designs you can absorb the weapons into HMPro.

Not everything will work correctly, for example the MRM Apollo BV2 does not work out at whole numbers and targeting computers and the HPPC Capacitor may cause problems. And I have not double checked that eveything has been entered correctly :crazy:

Not crazy. HM Aero uses a different weapons file that is not compatible with the standard one that the other programs use.

Medron got this one wrong. There IS an Absorb button in HMAero; but of course it can only absorb weapons from other HMA files. It still works the same way, though: add custom weapons to a design (and you can fit SOOOO many more on a WarShip - you probably only need a single ship to do all of them), send it to your friend(s), who can then Absorb the weapon using the button near the bottom of the screen under <Weapon Type> Bay Weapons on Large vessels, and where you'd expect it on small ones. All the programs (Pro, Vee, Lite, Aero & BA) have the Absorb feature.

He was talking about weapons files for 'Mechs. HMAero can not do anything with 'Mech files, whether they be 'Mech saves or the custom weapons files.

Yes, HMAero can absorb weapons LIKE HMPro, but it can not use any of the HMPro files while doing so.

All correct. I just wanted to clarify that the other programs have the same Absorb capability, providing of course the design can be loaded into the program.

Ah-HAH! I think I found my problem.

Absorb is present in the lastest HM:A update. Absorb is NOT present in the 1.02 or whatever-that-was version.

I think the Absorb button was always on the small craft weapon screen, but was added to the Capital Weapons screen in V1.04 R0 in May of 2005. Glad you've got the update now. ;-)
