Rick/anyone,

Earlier I was trying to use the installer for the custom weapon & equipment data file (1/7/12 version). Using this installer did not update my files in HMPro or HMvee. I am uncertain if this had something to do with the fact that I am using Windows 7.

So, I attempted to replace the custom data files manually. This worked for HMPro, but when I tried to run HMVee, I would get an error message stating "One or more data files could not be found" and the program would not start. Furthermore, replacing the ORIGINAL files did not fix this error either.

Getting rather frustrated by this point, I decided to reinstall the entire HMPro CD.

Big mistake.

During install I experienced numerous decompression errors with various files, mostly .jpegs, but also including the .exe file for HM Lite. At this time HMPro will run, but I am STILL getting the same error with HMVee, and of course HMLite is totally absent. I have no idea why I am getting these errors now, considering that I had obviously installed the program once before.

I could really use some guidance here.

Well I think my install disc might be damaged. Cleaning it doesn't seem to help these errors, and I installed HMBA just the other day without any problem.

That doesn't answer the file issues that led to my attempt at reinstalling this in the first place, though.

Very, very distressing.

The custom equipment file installer only does that: copies the new custom weapons files containing new equipment to the proper directories. It has nothing to do with installing or updating the programs themselves.

If you HMPlus install file is corrupted, please email me, and I'll set up a download for you. Hopefully, that will cure the problem. When you install, don't forget to check out my Windows Vista/7/8 page:

I'd like to thank Rick for helping me get things back up and running. He responded quickly and everything is fine now!
