I just posted minor updates to all four HeavyMetal programs on the Program Updates page, so you may want to stop by and update your programs.

I just posted new updates to all of the programs. Please go to the HeavyMetal Software Update Page to see the changes and download the updates.

Also, if you haven't already signed up for the HeavyMetalPro Yahoo! Group, you may want to do so here, so you will be among the first to hear of updates and other news.

I just posted a new update of HMPro only. Seems Randall had intended to reverse his decision about the XL Gyro (guess my reasoning worked after all), but neglected to tell me. Anyhow, the decision will be reversed shortly, so I'm putting back in the .5 ton calculation of XL and Compact Gyros.

I just completed posting program updates for all of the programs, with a fairly major one for HeavyMetal Battle Armor, which includes a couple new pictures, several new symbols and a number of revised data files. Most of the other programs have minor changes, except that HMPro now prevents use of a Heavy Gauss Rifle with ICE engines. In any event, you'll definitely want to stop by the Program Updates page and download and install updates for all of your HeavyMetal programs. You may also notice revised setup programs on the rest of the programs, to match the look of the one included in HMBA. This new look will form the basis for all current and future programs.

You can get information on all the updates at:

http://www.heavymetalpro.com/ProgramUpdates.htm

Please watch the HMLite update. It incorrectly points to the HMVee setup, and after update, changes the HMVee registry location to the Lite location. :-(

While the program itself is the same, a new HMLite update has been posted that corrects the problem.

Sorry.

I just uploaded new updates for all of the programs, and owe all of you an apology. In my haste to get these updates up, I compiled the new setup programs using the old file versions. Meaning that while the setups were marked with the new version numbers, after installing, you still had an older version. I am very sorry this occurred.

Anyhow, while I was making up the new (and correct) updates, I also took a moment to add a change to HMVee and HMAero: the prevention of using Heavy Gauss Rifles with non-fusion engines. So now, vehicles cannot use HGRs with ICE engines, and Conventional Fighters cannot use them with Turbine engines.

So, to once again get these latest updates (for real, this time), please go to

http://www.heavymetalpro.com/ProgramUpdates.htm

Again, sorry about my error. Apparently my multi-tasking function was defective the other night. I'll try to be more careful in the future. ;-)

I'm sorry. Again. This seems to be a trend, lately. What can I say. :-(

In my haste to add the Heavy Gauss Rifle thing to HMVee and HMAero, I neglected to clear the flag when the HGR is removed. Stupid, stupid error, the result of rushing too much, and my tired brain not staying focused.

Anyhow, new updates are there for Vee and Aero. The rest are okay. I hope.

Once again, new updates have been made available for all the programs. Nothing too big, but you'll want to get the HMLite update, which includes updated BV and costs for all battle armor.

Take a look at the Program Updates Page for more information.

I just sent out the HeavyMetalPro Newsletter, with announcements about program changes, new data files and more. If you're not already on the Newsletter mailing list, I suggest you stop on over, have a look and sign up. You will /not/ be bombarded by spam (I hate it too) but every month or so you will receive pertinent information concerning the HeavyMetal programs, changes, web site additions and newly available data files.

To check on the latest program updates, go to the Program Updates Page for more information.

To download or check the latest data files, go to the Data Files Page for more information. I've also started a Data File Change Log Page for more detailed information on future changes and releases.

And most important, to check out the HeavyMetalPro Newsletter, and sign up for future updates so you always know what's going on with HeavyMetal Software, please go to the HeavyMetalPro Newsletter & Group for more information.

One often-requested feature has been added to several of the programs: the ability to batch print record sheets from the Roster with /no skills/ printed on the sheet. This allows you to determins skills just prior to game play, without having to scratch out printed skills first.

One thing that has been asked for for years, is an increase in the maximum number of custom weapons allowed in the database. I actually increased the number some time ago, but neglected to change the code which limits how many you can add. That has been corrected now, and if you're into lots of custom weapons and equipment, you'll really want to download this update!

I just sent out another HeavyMetalPro Newsletter, with an announcement about program updates for all of the HeavyMetal programs. Yeah, I know, I just did that yesterday. But while the purpose of yesterday's release was to greatly increase the maximum number of custom weapons, I neglected to change the code to Absorb weapons from the Weapon Selection screen to allow the greater number. That's been done now, so you have yet another method of increasing your personal arsenal. ;-)
