Is there any way to turn of the feature that shows you that a post has been made to a topic when you have hit submit after replying yourself? If that is unclear that me try this, you are typing your reply or counter point, you finish, you select submit, and instead of posting the reply the board shows you that someone else has posted and not only that but their post instead of submitting what you have typed, so can that be turned off by us the posters or is it something that the admins need to disable?

Just hit "sumbit" again and your post will go up as usual.

I'm not sure I understand what you've said, and I'm not sure Chi did either. When typing a Reply, if you hit Preview instead of Submit, it will show what your message looks like, allow you to edit it, AND show any posts currently made (like when you've been typing). So, if you want to modify your post based on what someone posted in the meantime, you can.

If that's not what you're referring to, please try to explain again. Hitting Submit once posts your post, so I'm not sure what Chi is saying.

If a poster is typing a reply in a thread and another poster comes along and replies while the first poster is typing, a little warning pops up after you hit submit saying that the thread has been updated (or words to that affect) and it delays your post giving the first poster a chance to change his post before posting it. If that happens the first poster would need to hit submit again to make his/her post.

What Chihawk posted is what I am trying to get it, and the part I am asking is can that feature be turned off by the user since it is annoying.

It's not a user specific option.

You're right, Chi, sorry for maligning your name. ;-)

I actually think the feature is pretty neat, and rarely does it pop up, so can't see it being that much of a annyoance.
