I have a qustion about the post system works. When I try to look at the posts that have come in since the last time I visited it shows some that I have already read as new. Is this part of the forums updated hourly or daily.

I'm still getting used to them myself. I think all of the posts under each topic will always be visible. But the reddish folder indicates that there are new posts since your last visit, it seems to work. Likewise, the various topic threads are sorted in order of the last post, so that helps you find posts thare are new to you.

Well I just logged in again today. I read all new posts earlier this morning, but all the ones that were pink this morning are still pink. I've never been a computer expert so maybe I'm doing something wrong. It looks to me that the only posts not highlighted pink are those that have not been responded to today. Oh well thanks again for the quick response.

Yeah, I see the still stay pink after logging off, then back on. Maybe it is on a day basis. Since I respond to so many posts, I just look and see the time of my last post in the left hand column, and if there are newer posts, chances are I haven't seen them yet.

Every forum has its good and bad points, and maybe this one isn't perfect, but I'm pretty satisfied with it. There's a lot of control to the administrator, the ranks are nice I think, and it is an improvement to be able to see all the posts under a given thread and follow it through. Even if you check every topic, and scroll to the bottom to see if there's anything new, it doesn't take long to get through them.

Oh no I'm not complaining, I like the new forums I just couldn't figure that part out. I just wanted to rule out operator error on my part.
