I was thinking (oh no not again!)people keep posting from time to time that they are looking for some one to play BT with and we end up sending them to other forums to find other people to play with because they have player lists. So I figure it is about time that we have one here so that people looking for others to play CBT with can get together. It would be optional of course but I am certain that there are a large number of people who would be willing to sign up. :D

CBT does that, but since no-one can aggree that it's up or down . . . :dunno:

Naa, Rick has better things to spend his megabits to spend on than a cluttering of the people that have HMP and those that don't.

Rick will sometimes do things that amount to this upon request. I put together a greeting for anybody in the Austin area, to drop by and sling some dice. He went ahead and sent it to the group of people that listed their location as being in the Central Texas area.

Because of the historical problems with reaching CBT, I would fully support setting up such a list on this site.

I think it's a great idea (to have a interactive list like CBT does), but I don't know how to add that to the web site, and don't have time to find out or do it. As Klingon mentioned, I mentioned some time ago that I would look up users in the area of another user, for contact with games. That has some complications, though:

As the requests haven't hasn't come that often, what I usually do (if I have the time) is 1) Sort my user database by zip code, leaving out any who have requested not to be one it, then 2) go to Yahoo Driving Instructions, and enter the zip codes of the requestor as well as zip codes that are similar (identical ones are no-brainers), then 3) choose and write down any that are within say 100 miles. A very time consuming process.

And even then, I can only, really, send the name and email address of the requestor to the other people, because I don't violate my customer's privacy. They have to contact him/her, rather than the other way around. Although sometimes I will give an email address.

Another problem is that while we have a lot of posters here (many of whom don't have HM products), not all of my HM customers frequent the forums. So something that people sign up for, while best, may not give that many listers.

I certainly wouldn't mind adding a forum for this purpose. A special forum where people could list their location and contact information, and any information about the game(s) they were interested in. Easy to do. But it won't have the largest possible audience, that way.

You mean like having time to write stories or beta test programs and (censored) and jazz?

Yeah...I'm really going to have to work on that time thang...maybe if I get a time machine I'll have time to do everything I want...but then I'd have to deal with that whole problem of aging faster...so I need to figure out how to slow down my aging too. So, does anybody have any ideas?

I know the secret to life eternal. It's really very, very simple in concept. Don't Die! That's it. Simple 'eh? You may send royalties to me. :)

Well, since you have access to a time machine just go foward in time and get some anti-aging drugs that would have been made and no more really bad aging.
