Ok here's the problem: I'm posting my essays, I have a few "charts" for lack of a better word that I made in the MS Word document. They look bad and nothing lines up.

Now I had a similar problem over at the CBT boards and was told to line the doc up in Notepad and then use the pre codes that they have over there. Stuff looks good.

I try that over here and no luck. :(

Here it is with codes:
Code:
Tentage & Support Equipment Mass per m² Cost per m²
Frame, Pop-up 8kg 50C-Bills
Frame, Assembly Required 7kg 25C-Bills
Airframe, GP-sized 5kg 50C-Bills
Airframe, Large 10kg 100C-Bills
Equipped with built-in Electrical Outlets & Lights	.5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heater Only .5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heat Pump .75kg 25C-Bills
Portable Flooring 2kg 2C-Bills
And here it is without:

Tentage & Support Equipment Mass per m² Cost per m²
Frame, Pop-up 8kg 50C-Bills
Frame, Assembly Required 7kg 25C-Bills
Airframe, GP-sized 5kg 50C-Bills
Airframe, Large 10kg 100C-Bills
Equipped with built-in Electrical Outlets & Lights .5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heater Only .5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heat Pump .75kg 25C-Bills
Portable Flooring 2kg 2C-Bills

And that's the closest I can get. Help is appreciated. :D

I think you might have added a step somewhere. If you type everything up in NotePad, evenly spaced, then use CODE here (Code works better than Pre with these forums), it should come out looking fine.

I'll take the text you wrote, copy it to NotePad, even it up, then paste it here between CODE tags:
Code:
Tentage & Support Equipment Mass per m² Cost per m²
Frame, Pop-up 8kg 50C-Bills
Frame, Assembly Required 7kg 25C-Bills
Airframe, GP-sized 5kg 50C-Bills
Airframe, Large 10kg 100C-Bills
Equipped with built-in Electrical Outlets & Lights .5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heater Only .5kg 15C-Bills
Climate-Control Unit*, Heat Pump .75kg 25C-Bills
Portable Flooring 2kg 2C-Bills
I'm almost certain that what happened was that although you typed the text up in NotePad, and it looked fine, you used the TAB key to space things out. Don't do that! Use spaces only. Tabs are intepretted differently by almost every program. Even with the text TROs in the HM programs, one of the steps, when printing, is to replace tabs with nn space characters.

Actually, I /am/ certain that's what happened. It still wasn't quite spaced correctly, and I went back and found that there were still some tab characters in the text. Substituted spaces for them, and all is well.
