But seriously, though, just for the record, though I do get fussy sometimes about that
Just please remember that 1) Most of us are poor spellers anyway. 2) Those who are good spellers are bad typists. 3) On forums and in chats, misspellings are generally accepted, as long as we can discern the content, as most people realize that we'd rather be contributing than using a dictionary or SpelChek. 4) Many user's names either do not match the norm, or are "technically" spelled wrong. And 5) Most of us do not take the time to look up a user's name, any more than we do a misspelled word.

, to be fair, there where times in high school where some students with Slavic surnames got gripy about their names being mispronounced(usually the Marek's, Marak's, and Bohac's), while other times it was overlooked(like the Cervenka kids, or if the name couldn't get mispronounced like Steffek), and even times when the surname was mispronounced by the person with the name in question(usually this happened when the name started with a J.
Having grown up in Pennsylvania, where there are a huge number of Italian and slavic names, I will say that most of the people with those names did not even attempt to pronouce the correctly, as they would have been in their own tongues. That is one of the reasons that so many names get "Americanized" after arrival. My ancestor's name was Rösli (or Roesli), which in the written word even the day he stepped of the ship in 1739 in Philadelphia became "Rusely", and now there are about 8 spellings of the names of his ancestors, including Raisley.

In Czech...
Have you lived in the Czech Republic? I was in Pracha (pronounced Prague here
) and surrounding areas for 3 weeks a few years ago and /thoroughly/ enjoyed it. One of the most beautiful cities I have seen. But Czech is probably the most difficult language in the world to learn!
