Not really sure how possible this would be.
in addition to being able to follow the Map Pack Solaris VII customization rules when basing off an existing design, how about a "family tree" feature that tracks the modifications made...
say
MAD-3R modified into a MAD-3D
MAD-3D modified into a MAD-5D
MAD-5D modified into a MAD-7D
etc.
And each step in the tree would list the MP: Solaris VII Modification points used to get from one variant to the other.
another variation would be the ability to compare two existing designs, and set one as the origin point and the other as the end point and have it return the MP: S7 mod points.
