Another Level 1 design. This time it's not quite so mission specific.
According to CBT history, the Battlemaster was a command mech, and a tough one to boot. If there was one on the field, you could pretty much guarrantee that the enemy commander was in it.
The Orlok (named for the rank of a Mongolian war-chief) prototype is based on the Battlemaster chassis, however it is not a command mech. It was designed with the primary purpose of being able to take on, and defeat a Battlemaster and it's pilot, typically the commander of the enemy force.
Because the Battlemaster carries a very limited long range armament, the Orlok has been outfitted with a significantly more powerful selection of long range weapons. A 20-tube missile launcher has been slotted into the left torso, approximately where a Battlemaster would mount the short range launcher, the PPC has been replaced (along with the now useless hand actuator) with a heavy autocannon, and a heavy laser (stolen from a Zeus) has been squeezed into the center torso longside the fusion reactor. Not neglecting the short ranges, a trio of medium lasers have been included or retained as the case may be. Two of the original torso mounted lasers have been installed as standard, and the third laser has been fitted into the former machinegun housing on the left arm. A triple machinegun array has also been fitted into the right torso and allows the pilot to eliminate any foot troops or command staff that it might come across.
