Well, I thought I'd play with the new VSP Lasers, and the SLDF Royal Rifleman (upped to 80 tons) from the 3075 TRO seemed like a place to start. So, here it is, suitably upgraded for nefarious Wobbie purposes. :)

What are the basic stats for the new variable lasers? If the exact stats can't be posted how about a general description?

Okay, basically VSP Lasers do variable damage and have bonuses to hit depending on the range bracket:

Short Range: +2 damage (+1 for small), -3 to hit bonus
Medium Range: Same, -2 to hit bonus
Long Range: -2 damage (-1 for small), -1 to hit bonus

That's the basics of it. :)

Nope, they're level 2 tech from the Wolf and Blake Starterbook that's now out on PDF. Hype hype hype.

According to what I saw, most of the tech was Experimental (formerly L3), BUT the VSPs were Advanced (L2). :)

EDIT: Oops. Nevermind. But considering VSPs are on Blakist omnifighters in TRO 3075, I think they'd be around now.
