Slowing the anvil down is an interesting choice...I do like the light engine, but so much of its usefulness is in its speed.

Variable Speed Pulse Laser. It's in Wolf and Blake as well as TacOps, apparently.

Technically it's "Advanced" equipment, but it's in the core designs for some of the TRO3075 Blakist aerospace fighters, so I'm not sure how "Advanced" it is supposed to be. :)

When Wob captured Hesperus II they decided to build a different version of the Berserker Assault 'Mech as a test bed for their new prototype Variable-Speed Pulse Lasers,

the few models of the BRZ-A3 were stripped to their Endo-Steel frame and rebuilt from the ground up, by using a smaller cockpit, a compact Gyro, the Blakist engineers were able to install three VSP lasers, one in the left arm, plus one in the left/right torsos, also the MASC system was switched out for TSM. as an after-thought two jump-jets were installed in the center torso..

TSM always seemed a better fit for the Berserker then MASC. I would probably drop the 4 tons for 60m jump capacity and put in some small lasers to play with the heat load easier, but that is just me. I like the feel either way.
