Does Samsung own stock in Boeing?
Samsung's problem most likely has to do with them using batteries that wouldn't pass real safety testing, probably from some cheap-arsed Chinese contractor. In fact, it's worth noting that Samsung used a special exemption to avoid having those batteries tested in the USA, most probably because Samsung knew up front that they didn't meet standards. But that has nothing to do with the fact that Boeing's been having a bad run of luck with its planes this year.
Of course, it could just be a statistical anomaly. After all, there are literally hundreds of Boeing planes in the air worldwide, every moment of every day. When your brand name has such a large market share, it stands to reason that a similar proportion of accidents will happen under your label.
