So what is your thought process on these? Trying to build a smaller mech that looks like a Warhammer?

For their size they are fragile, slow, and don't have great range while not being all that cheap based on their engine.

I threw together a couple of medium weight hammer clones below. Similar price ranges, a bit more short range firepower, and a lot more durable. My versions are slower, but the TSM makes up for that. My Snubbie version is very, very similar to yours, but trades the SRMs for two MLs and various smalls for heat balance. The ERLL version is more different from the main weapon choice, but you get the idea.

Good designs, lordwolf, they capture the feel of the Warhammer. I think the first one has almost as much armor, too. :)

When I saw "half" I thought a literal half, which would be far more efficient.

35 tons standard chassis, 5/8/0 standard engine, 10 single sinks
PPC (RA), Medium Laser (LT), SRM-4 (LT) @1 (LA), 2xMG (CT) @0.5 (LA)

Ammo in the arm is poor man's 3025 CASE. You at least have a CHANCE.

Though my favorite advanced tech Whammy is pretty much the original dropping ten tons with endo whilst not really changing the weapon load other than tossing a flamer in the head, switching to light MG's, and using a trio of STK-2's instead of a normal -6 since canon-wise the IS had only -2's first so it should be more common/plentiful. I generally do NOT find the range increase of the ERPPC worth the heat, nor do I find the point blank (by my view) range of the snubby something you'd heat bracket against.
